The S.D. Club Órdenes football team has smart turf maintenance devices at the level of the world’s great stadiums

The Ordes club is a pioneer in turf management with CEORA™ and has obtained exemplary results during the 22/23 season

The model installed has revolutionised sports field maintenance thanks to task automation and an 83% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional lawnmowers that use fossil fuels

Ordes (A Coruña), 10 May 2023. The Ordes Municipality has chosen Husqvarna’s state-of-the art sports field management technology CEORA™ for the maintenance of the Vista Alegre Municipal Football Pitch, the home of the S.D. Club Órdenes team.

The device selected for this contract is the CEORA™ 546 EPOS smart lawnmower installed in October 2022, months before its commercial release in Spain. It produces denser and greener turf thanks to the new upgrades introduced: its object detection system uses ultrasound to eliminate downtime due to jamming, battery operation brings emissions down to zero, and management via app allows controlling the robot from any location in real time.

This partnership between the Ordes Municipality and Husqvarna has allowed autonomous management of the turf, helping maintenance teams from this season onwards. “Management of the field with CEORA has not only brought about a reduction in facility maintenance costs but also a major improvement in turf quality. The transition to a battery-operated smart device has allowed us to bring down emissions to zero and strengthen our commitment to caring for the environment”, noted Antonio Vázquez, president of the S.D.C. Órdenes club.
