An online platform will start operating in autumn that includes a library, a media library, and a virtual classroom.

Ordes, 11 August. The coronavirus outburst has forced Internaco, the Ordes-based company that is the official distributor of several brands including Husqvarna in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, to accelerate the digitalization process in the training courses for dealers. Prior to the pandemic, these activities were conducted in classroom sessions. Since last May, they are taught online following the acceleration of the implementation plan that was scheduled for next year. José Vilas, who is in charge of the Training Department of the company, explains that “we were working with the horizon of 2021, but the current situation has led us to speed the process up, including very specific technical issues that had to be adapted to the new reality”.

In Autumn, Internaco expects to have a training platform in place that will make it possible to increase the resources available, including a media library, a library and a virtual classroom to hold webinars, make training videos available, provide technical tips and tutorials. For the three months Internaco has been providing online training, 70 courses have been held in which almost one thousand people have participated. “In the future, this type of initiatives would not be limited to dealers and could be extended to include workers and end customers as well”, remarks José Vilas.

Success in Portugal

Speaking about the training courses for Portuguese dealers, Vilas points out that “clients there are very appreciative and receptive. The products they provide are the same as in Spain, but there has been a very tangible evolution not only in consumption but also in the fact that, in many respects, it is a very mature and competitive country”.
