This is the first Portuguese company bought by the Galician company
This is its ninth purchase since 2015 and will allow the group to increase its annual turnover up to €125
Ordes, 8 June 2023. The Internaco Enterprises Group has taken another step in its expansion plan with the purchase of a majority stake of Maunça, a wholesale distributor of agricultural and gardening machinery in Portugal. Maunça is the official distributor for such relevant gardening and agricultural brands as the Italian FORT, ZANON and ECOTECH, to mention but a few.
Maunça, based in Barreira (Leiria, Portugal) has been in operation since 2004. It offers a wide range of agricultural and gardening machinery for both residential and professional use: power tillers, cultivators, farm implements, shredders, electronic tools including electronic pruning shears or harvesters, etc. Thanks to its solid and wide network of resellers, it sells across the whole of Portugal.
The purchase of Maunça fundamentally completes the activity of the company AG Group, bought by Internaco in 2022 which is also the distributor of top brands, including FORT, Alpego, SIP, APV, Strautman, Sulky, Orchard Rite, and Naio in Spain. It also reinforces the territorial expansion of the Galician group as this is the first company it has bought in Portugal.
Internaco, the official distributor of Husqvarna in Spain and Portugal, has a strong presence and reputation not only in the forestry industry but also in the residential and professional gardening sectors. With this buy, its presence in the agricultural sector across the Iberian Peninsula continues to grow while consolidating its commitment to the care and development of green areas.
The value of this strategic agreement lies in both the range of products added to the catalogue with this purchase and the knowledge and specialization Maunça has on the Portuguese market. Both companies have been committed to constant innovation, which is aimed at improving the solutions they provide to their customers by offering quality, innovative and competitive products through efficient and quality service.
This is the ninth operation in eight years for the Ordes-based group. Its expansion began with French Brand Infaco in 2015 and each year since, it has not stopped adding new brands and companies to the group.
All this has placed Internaco Enterprises Group in a leading position in the distribution of agricultural, forestry and gardening machinery.
