Ordes, 21 July 2021.- Star EV, a company specialising in low-speed electric vehicles, has announced an investment of €7.4 million to expand its production facility in South Carolina, USA.
The initiative will add more than 6,000 m² to its facilities and create 50 local jobs over a five-year period.
Star EV products are distributed exclusively in Spain and Portugal through Grupo Internaco, which specialises in machinery for the maintenance of forests, gardens and sports fields, as well as electric mobility solutions for these environments.
Alfonso Agulló, from Internaco GSP, welcomed the initiative by the US company, stating that “it will undoubtedly improve the service we can offer our customers, while also allowing us to process orders more efficiently. It is certainly excellent news that will have a very positive impact on the Star EV product market in Spain and Portugal.”
High-performance vehicles
STAR EV develops low-speed electric vehicles designed to provide comfort and performance across a range of applications.
The electric commercial models distributed by Internaco GSP can be customised and, as they use electric propulsion, produce no direct exhaust emissions during use.
Over the past year, several golf courses in Spain have entrusted Internaco with renewing their vehicle fleets with STAR EV electric units equipped with technology adapted to the needs of this type of facility.
