The acquisition of AG Group—its most strategic to date—will allow the Galicia-based group to reinforce its commitment to conservation of green spaces and expansion into the agricultural sector.

This operation—the eighth by Internaco since 2015—carries a revenue forecast in the order of 125 million.

Ordes, 28 June 2022.- Internaco takes another step as part of the group’s expansion with the acquisition of a majority stake in AG Group, a sector leader specializing in services and solutions in the field of machinery for use in agricultural, forestry and green areas that markets brands such as Alpego, Sulky, SIP, Strautmann, Sampo and FAE.

AG Group, which is based in Tamarite de Litera (Huesca), closed the 2021 financial year with a turnover of €6M and this year it expects to reach €8M. The group, which since 1987 specializes in providing solutions for any crop, operates in Spain and Portugal and has the widest range of products in the sector.

The Huesca-based group has around 120 distributors and 5 divisions: agricultural machinery, livestock, vineyards and fruit trees, green areas and forestry. In addition, through AG Group Premium it offers its customers advice and assistance with their personalized solutions, providing market research, training courses, continuing commercial support and product diversification.

Internaco, an official distributor of the Husqvarna brand in Spain, has a strong presence and great reputation in the residential and professional gardening sectors, as well as in forestry. With this acquisition, it opens the door to expansion in the field of agriculture while reinforcing its commitment to the protection and exploitation of green spaces. The value of this strategic move lies both in the range of products incorporated with this acquisition and in the knowledge and specialization that AG Group will bring along.

Both groups are committed to constant innovation with the aim of improving the solutions they offer to their customers and predict that the merger process will be a resounding success. This is the eighth operation of this kind in seven years for the Ordes-based group, which began its warp-speed expansion process in 2015 with the French brand Infaco and has been incorporating new brands and companies into the group every year.

All this places it in a leading position in the field of agricultural, forestry and gardening machinery distribution.
