Early next year Husqvarna launches its first boundary-wire free robotic lawn mower for private gardens. The new range, named NERA, supports the EPOS satellite navigation system, which lets the user create virtual cutting zones with the help of a mobile phone. This offers a total flexibility of deciding where to cut, when and at what height.

As part of an even smoother Automower® experience, the NERA range can also handle more complex terrains and steep slopes, and steers away from unwanted objects on the lawn. Husqvarna Automower® NERA comes in three different models that cater to lawns from 2200 m2 to 5000 m2.

Ordes, 8 November 2022.- More than 25 years ago, Husqvarna launched the world’s first robotic lawn mower and changed the lawn mowing category forever. With Husqvarna´s latest Automower®,  a new chapter of lawn care is about to begin for consumers. Physical boundary wires can finally be replaced by Husqvarna´s satellite navigation system, EPOS. Husqvarna EPOS is a well-proven technology, as it was launched for the professional segment two years ago. Husqvarna Automower® NERA can operate with a precision of 2-3 cm and take on rough terrain and slopes with up to 50% inclination. For the NERA range to operate without physical boundary wires, it needs to be complemented by an EPOS plug-in kit, sold as a separate accessory.

NERA comes in three models, all of which support boundary wire-free technology. Husqvarna Automower® 430X NERA and 450X NERA can cut lawns of up to 3200 m2 and 5000 m2 respectively, while 320 NERA is optimal for lawns up to 2200 m2. Both mowers in the 400 series come equipped with an object avoidance feature, based on radar technology, that helps the mower detect and avoid common objects like toys and garden tools. This reduces the stress of always keeping the lawn tidy and reduces the number of unwanted stops. All models come with improved terrain handling, which reduces the wear and tear of the lawn, and can also be washed easily with a hose.
