AG Group, part of the Internaco Group, has signed an agreement with FruitSpec to distribute its products in Spain and Portugal.
The innovative technology, based on deep learning, makes it possible to analyse the number of fruits, weight and volume at harvest time.
The alliance consolidates, completes and supports the Internaco Group’s commitment to robotisation in the fruit-growing environment.
Ordes, 19 September 2022 – AG-GROUP, part of the Internaco Group, has signed a distribution agreement for the Spanish and Portuguese markets with the Israeli company FruitSpec Ltd.
FruitSpec, a technology company based in Tel Aviv (Israel), specialises in estimating fruit yields and harvest sizes through a system of cameras and analysis using AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. This innovative technology uses hyperspectral images and deep learning algorithms to analyse images of fruit trees and distinguish early between leaves and green fruit to generate a detailed report on the number of fruit and their distribution by size on the dates of the selective harvest runs.
This precise information in advance allows decisions to be made regarding the necessary logistics at the time of harvesting, as well as knowing in advance the quantity and the different sizes that will be available for each market from the point of view of marketing, saving costs and improving farm profitability.
AG-GROUP will be present at Fruit Attraction from 4th to 6th October 2022 at IFEMA in Madrid (Hall 5, “Smart Agro” Zone) with FruitSpec to showcase this product range. This event, which will be attended by more than 90,000 professionals and around 1,800 companies, is a space that champions attributes such as innovation, diversity, knowledge and connection, always in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
