This is the brand’s fifth shop in this Autonomous Community, the twentieth in the whole of Spain.

Ordes (A Coruña) 09 May 2022.- El Sabio Devarela: that is the name of the new El Sabio hardware, DIY, home and garden chain shop that opened its doors today in the town of Curtis in the province of A Coruña. This is the fifth branch of the brand in Galicia, which continues with its powerful expansion strategy throughout Spain. In Spain as a whole, El Sabio now has 20 shops, all of them opened in little more than a year.

At the head of El Sabio Devarela is Manuel García Seoane, 46, a former employee of Grupo Internaco, which owns the brand. He has set up the business in a 240 square metre ground floor premises in the centre of Curtis, and says that he will soon need to hire reinforcements to help him run the shop.

What most attracted García Seoane to El Sabio is the whole idea of omnichannel business. “Advising and serving customers directly, as has always been done in local commerce, is important”, says Manuel, who also assures that “the brand is opening up to other channels and business possibilities, taking the online customer very much into account”. The manager of El Sabio Devarela has spent the last five months immersed in the tasks prior to the opening and considers that the exclusive distribution of Husqvarna will be one of the strategic pillars of his shop.

Recommendation and personalised customer service

Recommendations, personalised service and advice are the hallmarks of the El Sabio brand, which was created to represent the exact opposite of depersonalisation. After starting out in 2020 and opening its first shop in 2021, El Sabio now has around twenty establishments throughout Spain thanks to a strategy designed from the outset to grow and differentiate itself in a market that is increasingly depersonalised due to the strong presence of multinationals.

The group has two of its own brands (Orework and Kuril) as well as other top brands such as Ryobi, for which it has exclusive sales. It has also integrated Ferreglobal, which represents Truper and its subsidiary brands in Spain and Portugal.

Present in ten autonomous communities

The group is currently present in ten of the 17 autonomous communities: Galicia, Asturias, Andalusia, Aragon, the Basque Country, Navarre, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, Extremadura and the Community of Madrid.
